Scott Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Undergraduate Research Positions
Job Description
The Walter Scott, Jr. College of engineering will be hiring several 1st and 2nd year Scott Scholars and First Generation students to take positions in research labs for the Spring 2023 semester. These positions will be hosted by the following departments:
- Electrical & Computer Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Chemical & Biological Engineering
- Biomedical Engineering
- Civil & Environmental Engineering
- Systems Engineering
- Atmospheric Sciences
Students will work 5-10 hours per week, and may be required to match their schedule with that of a graduate assistant. Any training required for the job can be logged as hours worked
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Work in an engineering research lab, assisting the research faculty and graduate students in performing experiments, collecting data, and documenting results
- Complete required training; once training is complete, student *may* be able to perform some independent research work
- Create a poster to share at the SURE Poster Fair in April 2023
Job Requirements
- Student must be an admitted student to the Walter Scott, Jr. College of Engineering
- Student must be a first or second year Scott Scholar or First Generation student
Number of openings: 55
Hourly pay rate: $15.00/hour
Start date: January 17. 2023
