Work Study: Student Associate
10-15 hours a week
To provide administrative and operational assistance to the Director for Training, Education, and Outreach and other team members in the Office for Inclusion and Equity in the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement. Work will be in person as well as occasional remote work when possible.
Essential functions:
- Help with day-to-day administrative duties including but not limited to:
- Updating UT Learn training sessions with new sessions, attendance, and user accounts
- Reconciling user course completion records across the office’s multiple systems
- Communicating with training participants in a customer service-oriented manner
- Contributing to the training, consulting, and assessment work of the office as suited to the student associate’s strengths
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required: Current UT Austin student eligible for Federal Work-Study • Excellent interpersonal skills • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail • Professional demeanor and attire • Punctual and dependable • Familiarity with basic office software (Microsoft Office) and computer equipment/peripherals
Preferred: Experience providing excellent customer service • Proficiency with basic office software (Microsoft Office) and computer equipment/peripherals • Desire for full academic year employment • Facility with or interest in learning data analysis (e.g. regression analysis) • Excellent written and oral communication
