Financial Data Analyst

Other stuff we like:
·        Bachelor’s degree in Finance or other quantitative degree or another related field
·        Excellent academic record with a quantitative or math-based degree preferred
·        Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas
·        Strong technical and quantitative analytical skills, such as the ability to handle, interpret and translate analyses of numbers and data
·        Solid understanding of data analysis, model building, model validation
·        Effective time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects
·        Programming experience or understanding of programming logic (SQL, Python, etc.) is preferred
·        Experience with statistical or analytics software is preferred
·        Advanced Data Analysis skills (Regressions, Monte Carlo Simulations, etc.) is preferred
·        Internship or prior work experience
·        Experience with data visualization software (Power BI, Tableau)
·        Relevant experience in financial analysis and/or data analysis
·        Good understanding of accounting and financial statements
·        Passion for data and solid understanding of data analysis, model building, and model validation
 
 
You’ll be responsible for:
  • Consolidate and analyze historical financial data to produce forecasts
  • Support the month-end accounting close process and analytics
  • Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts
  • Build and validate models from large datasets
  • Assist with preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Make strategic recommendations for solutions to business problems
  • Improve operational and analytical efficiency
  • Provide clear interpretation and presentation of financial data and analysis to stakeholders
