Structural Internship Summer 2022
Duties & Responsibilities of the Intern may include:
- Collect and assimilate data
- Perform basic analysis, design calculations, and coordinate drafting of project elements
- Draw design details
- Compute quantities and demonstrate awareness of relationships to pay items
- Review mathematical calculations of others and organize calculations to be included in-design file, following project standards and as assigned
- Develop task deliverables in a complete and reviewable manner
- Perform tasks on schedule and within budget as assigned
- Work independently under the guidance of a Project Engineer
Qualifications include:
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate (Jr. or Sr. year preferred) or graduate level Civil Engineering program or focus
- Previous civil engineering/transportation experience or internship a plus
- Basic ability and understanding of AutoCAD
- Demonstrate competent use of Microsoft Office products
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written - e-mails, project memos, reports, etc.)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Positive attitude and good work ethic
