We are seeking an Intern - Bioscience Histology, R&D Undergrad Year Round
You are a highly motivated undergraduate student who is interested in a career in the biosciences. As a biosciences intern, you will have the opportunity to learn laboratory skills and obtain hands-on experience performing cutting-edge scientific research. You will work under direct supervision of a Sandia mentor as part of a diverse team executing funded research projects. You will develop practical histology skills (tissue dissection, processing, embedding, sectioning, staining etc).
On any given day you will be called on to support Sandia Biosciences by:
- Performing tissue histology and immunohistochemistry
- Performing staining and imaging (microscopy, immunofluorescence)
- Carrying out molecular biology assays
- Collecting and analyzing data and presenting findings to the group
