After School Assistant Instructor
Looking for College Students wanting to work in an elementary school as After School Academic Instructors and/or Assistant Instructors.
- Students that can teach and give a class in an enrichment activity like: Chess, Dance, Arts & Crafts, Sports (Soccer, Track, Volleyball, etc.) and more.
- Students that can teach/assist classes in: Science, Music, Social Emotional Learning and more.
- Will be working with elementary students (ages 5 - 12)
- Working hours range from 3:30pm - 6:00pm
- Working days range from Monday - Friday
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must submit a letter of intent & resume (Addressed to Mr. Javier Garcia CIS ACE Project Director)
- Must fill out a CIS application
- Meet for an in-person interview
The following documents will be required when hired:
- Current ID
- SSN
- Voided Check
- Provide transcripts or degree
- copy of TB Test
· The following forms must be filled out when hired:
- W-4 Form
- I-9 Form
- Release Form
- DPS Criminal Verification form
- CIS will run background check as well as BISD
- Fill out ADP Direct Deposit Form
- Offer/Acceptance Letter Must be signed
- Job Description signed
- Acknowledgement & Agreement on Employee Guidebook
Location: Ben Brite Elementary School in Brownsville Tx.
The Communities In Schools Afterschool Centers on Education, CIS-ACE, is funded through Texas Education Agency as a part of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grants. CIS-ACE provides students in PK through Fifth, at no cost, a safe environment for expanded learning and enrichment opportunities before and after school hours. Programs also offer enhanced academic and tutorial services to help students meet state and local academic achievement standards in reading, math, science and social studies.
