I.T. Operations Intern
About this Job
The I.T. Operations Internship is an opportunity for a student intern to learn to support many different systems and work directly with our end users. The student will be able to learn and sharpen their problem-solving skills while working with people at all levels of the company.
General Responsibilities
- Assist with Tier 1 Help Desk support
- Receive and configure new equipment
- Hardware & software installations; upgrades, as needed
- Respond to user requests and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Troubleshoot a range of issues, including, but not limited to, voice, data, Windows/Mac clients & mobile devices
- Research new technologies
- Additional duties as assigned
- Opportunities for more challenging assignments as they arise
Job Requirements
- General knowledge of computer hardware and software including mobile devices
- Troubleshoot issues and solve problems as they arise
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail & organized
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Team player and eager to learn new technologies
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Enthusiastic and motivated individual willing to accept a wide variety of challenges
Education and Experience Requirements
Pursuing a degree in Computer Information Systems or Information Technology related degree
The following skills/interests are a plus but not required for the position
- Cisco networking products
- Cyber security and awareness
- Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Windows Active Directory/Azure Active Directory
- General knowledge of VOIP and Cloud PBX
