I.T. Operations Intern

About this Job
The I.T. Operations Internship is an opportunity for a student intern to learn to support many different systems and work directly with our end users. The student will be able to learn and sharpen their problem-solving skills while working with people at all levels of the company.
General Responsibilities
  • Assist with Tier 1 Help Desk support
  • Receive and configure new equipment
  • Hardware & software installations; upgrades, as needed
  • Respond to user requests and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot a range of issues, including, but not limited to, voice, data, Windows/Mac clients & mobile devices
  • Research new technologies
  • Additional duties as assigned
  • Opportunities for more challenging assignments as they arise
Job Requirements
  • General knowledge of computer hardware and software including mobile devices
  • Troubleshoot issues and solve problems as they arise
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail & organized
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Team player and eager to learn new technologies
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Enthusiastic and motivated individual willing to accept a wide variety of challenges
Education and Experience Requirements
Pursuing a degree in Computer Information Systems or Information Technology related degree
The following skills/interests are a plus but not required for the position

  • Cisco networking products
  • Cyber security and awareness
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Windows Active Directory/Azure Active Directory
  • General knowledge of VOIP and Cloud PBX
