Accounting Associate
About the role - Who are you?
Signal is looking for an Accounting Associate to join our Finance team. Whilst the existing Finance team is based in London, this role will be our first based in the New York office in a bid to better support our growing US team. We are growing very quickly in terms of revenue, people and geographies and you will play an important part in helping us accelerate our global growth ambitions. You will report to our Financial Controller.
The day to day responsibilities - What will you be doing?
- Lead on selected process and systems reviews rolling out improvements
- Be responsible for US specific work items such as:
- US deal approvals - Finance review
- US cash flow management
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Customer collections - Sales ledger management
- Account Payable - Supplier management
- Producing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc.
- Supporting the FC on any ad hoc projects
Knowledge, skills and experience - What does it take to be successful?
- Preferably a Finance and Accounting degree with the minimum of a years accounting experience in industry
- Process and detail oriented and comfortable working independently
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, and experience with Excel and accounting software
- Clear communicator and excellent at connecting and building rapport with stakeholders
- Exceptional at project management & getting things done with quality
- Ideas-driven and hands-on with a can-do attitude
