2022 Underwriting Internship Program

Join the Everest 2022 Summer Internship Program!  This is an exciting opportunity to receive exposure to the world of Property & Casualty Reinsurance and Insurance through dynamic training, firsthand business experience, and networking with the industry’s leading experts and experienced professionals.  Throughout the Program, you can expect to build upon the academic foundations you have established at school and apply your learning to real world scenarios.  The Program will run for approximately 10 weeks beginning June 2022.

Your Impact & Opportunity
We are looking for multiple interns in our New York, Atlanta, Boston, Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Warren, NJ, Philadelphia, and Chicago offices to work with the following underwriting departments:

  • Accident & Health
  • Cyber Liability
  • Energy
  • Financial Lines
  • Life Sciences
  • Professional Liability
  • Private Company/Not-For-Profit
  • Public Companies

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the pre-qualification of deals and providing summary to underwriting team to help with submission flow
  • Assist in classifying all submissions received, quoted, declined etc. from our tracker for reporting and data analytics
  • Assist in the creation of a database to show law firms, PE firms, and other advisors to track TL participant activity
  • Research regarding M&A market trends, including overall activity, price multiples development etc.
  • Partner with Everest Specialty Underwriting groups on assigned projects as requested
  • Provide support as needed to remote Everest Specialty Underwriting office locations

What You Bring: Experience & Qualifications

  • You are a sophomore or junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college/university
  • Excellent communication, analytical, critical thinking, collaboration, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office software, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Leadership or involvement in extracurricular activities, campus clubs/organizations, your community, etc.
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment
