Public Relations Account Coordinator
Are you a savvy wordsmith who is looking to thrive in a fast-paced agency environment? We are looking for a talented, organized and energetic account coordinator ready to launch their career in public relations, marketing and communications. The successful candidate will have a strong background in writing and excellent verbal communication skills.

Wragg & Casas provides a full spectrum of communications services for multi-national companies, large real estate developers, health systems, construction firms, banks, educators, law firms, insurance companies, and nonprofit organizations.

It’s our mission to promote and protect their brands and reputations. You will work along-side senior leadership to develop and execute creative media relations, social media, digital marketing and community outreach campaigns as well as plan and special events. Our diverse portfolio of services and client sectors will provide you with a broad exposure to all things PR and marketing.

No two days at Wragg & Casas are ever the same, but here's an idea of what your work here might look like:
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions for client and agency initiatives
  • Research topics and quickly grasp concepts
  • Develop pitches for news media
  • Write press releases and by-lined articles
  • Research media outlets and create targeted media lists
  • Pitch story ideas or and news events to print, TV and radio journalists/producers
  • Track editorial calendars for pitching opportunities
  • Track and analyze traditional and social media coverage for the impact on clients
  • Develop digital marketing strategies
  • Develop social media content calendars and write posts
  • Shoot and edit video
  • Research and develop community outreach plans including speaking engagements, awards and partnerships
  • Research, develop and place traditional and digital advertising
  • Track and analyze media coverage for the impact on clients
  • Be comfortable and professional as the point person on accounts
  • Track editorial calendars for pitching opportunities
  • Write project summaries and case studies
  • Assist with writing proposals

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, public relations, marketing, business, or another related field
  • Two internships or one year of experience in public relations
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, lover of AP Style
  • Confident, well-spoken individual who is comfortable interacting with reporters/editors, cold call pitching and building relationships with media
  • Self-starter and a team player
  • Must be an avid consumer of all things media – news, social, blogs, video
  • Experience running social media campaigns
  • Knowledge of Meltwater, HootSuite, Tweepi and related social media tools
  • Bilingual a plus
