Mechatronics Engineering Co-op Spring 2022

Summary
We are looking for an energetic Mechatronics Engineering major to join our team as a Mechatronics Engineering Co-op in Avon, Ohio. This position will work within the Product R&D Centers of Excellence.
 
Responsibilities
As a Mechatronics Engineering Co-op, you will be responsible for:
  • Advanced Product Concept R&D and New Product Development
  • Systems Development and Test Simulation Design (Electronic/Mechanical Systems, Prototyping/ Input, Signals/Design Control, Architecture/Signal Output Conditioning/GUI and Display Systems)
  • Product validation and troubleshooting in laboratory and vehicle environments
  • Oversee inventory, assembly and coordination of testing with technicians
  • Current product support, trouble shooting, debug, and root cause analysis
  • Software algorithm/HW validation using software/hardware-in-the-loop technologies
  • Product Phase Reviews, Product DFMEAs, Project Management
  • Special Braking Systems and Modules design
  • Electronic, Pneumatic, Hydraulic circuit Analysis
  • Product Application Development, Road Test and Customer demos
  • Manufacturing and Supply Base Process Support
  • Assist in translating customer requirements into new products
  • Oral and written communication of analytic results and creation of formal test reports
 
Requirements
  • Currently attending an accredited college or university 
  • 3.0 Cumulative GPA or higher
  • Major in Mechatronics Engineering
  • Ability to work full-time 40 hours per week during the work term
  • Goal-oriented, results driven and analytical in nature
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Dedicated, enjoys product R&D work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organization and collaboration skills
  • Fluent English, German and Spanish are assets
