2022 Customer Data Privacy Summer Intern

Overview:
The Customer Data Privacy Summer Intern will serve on the Customer & Market Insights (CMI) team and help power decisions through intelligence, illumination, and influence. The intern should have a strong consumer and Customer mindset & business acumen. The intern will support the Sr. Project Lead of Customer Data Privacy on data privacy strategy, day-to-day operations, and provide data privacy guardrails to support the Marketing organization and across the enterprise. The role will be responsible for supporting the effective stewardship of Customer data by stakeholders and compliance with privacy regulations. The intern role supports all Marketing stakeholders as well as cross functional partners in Legal, DTT, Enterprise Analytics and Operations.
 
Job Responsibilities & Activities:
  • Be the “Voice of the Customer” as it pertains to data privacy and advocate for a privacy-centric Marketing program
  • Support and contribute to Chick-fil-A’s privacy program and processes. The candidate will partner with Legal, Digital Technology Transformation, Enterprise Analytics and other business units to ensure Customer data is managed and governed effectively
  • Support documentation of the collection, usage, transfer, storage and retention of Customer data
  • Support the day-to-day management of the Data Subject Access Request (DSAR) privacy management program
  • Develop privacy training materials and collateral

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A passion for protecting consumer privacy and security
  • Familiarity with consumer protection regulations (i.e. CCPA, GDPR, PIPEDA, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of the intersection of law, human behavior, technology and business
  • Commitment and adherence to upholding the highest degree of data ethics
  • Highly collaborative with ability to build strong relationships and results oriented
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of the common privacy-related issues organizations face
  • Familiarity with conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses of large and complex data
  • Strong understanding of the data ecosystem in a large sized company 

Education:
Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree majoring in Marketing, Management Information Systems, Information Security, Public Policy, Business Analytics, or other related major. Must be returning to school Fall 2022.

Minimum GPA : 3.0
