Work Study Membership Assistant
Purpose: The purpose of this position is to assist in the administration of the Blanton Museum of Art’s membership program. This opportunity will enable a committed and enthusiastic student to learn important career skills related to arts administration, data management, museums, special events, and fundraising. Students from all majors are encouraged to apply.
Essential Functions:
· Data entry into the Blanton’s Altru database and data cleaning
· Organize, collate, and mail membership acknowledgement letters
· Digitize files and input records into database
· Monitor and restock membership collateral throughout the museum complex
· Maintain individual files and correspondence on active and inactive members
· Perform miscellaneous clerical duties, as needed
· Perform industry research
· Assist with membership and development special events, as needed
· Other related functions as assigned
Required Qualifications:
· Desire to learn about general operations at a nonprofit organization
· Discretion and professionalism in dealing with sensitive information
· Excellent time management and organizational skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Strong interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
· Previous nonprofit experience
· Previous data entry experience
Hours are flexible during the following days and times:
· Monday – Friday
· 9:00 – 5:00
