Industrial Engineer

  • Collects and analyzes work sampling, time study and equipment delay data and draws conclusions about utilization and efficiency.
  • Collects field measurement data and creates two-dimensional facility drawings from supplied specifications with AutoCAD.
  • Organizes data in spreadsheets or databases for subsequent analysis and presentation to the client.
  • Identifies and documents product families based on production, routing, Bill of Material and other pertinent data.
  • Calculates storage and capacity requirements for supporting specified production levels.
  • Performs ergonomic assessments of operator workstations.
  • Develops management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, wage & salary administration and job evaluation.
  • Confers with clients’ management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.
  • Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchasing of equipment.
Other duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Create, implement and maintain quality standards for manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in the APQP process: develop and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, work instructions and related documentation.
  • Monitor SPC data and other quality trends to prevent or reduce defects, coordinate containment activities, determine problem causes, and initiate interim and permanent corrective actions.
  • Devise sampling procedures and design and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  •  Maintain, audit and support Quality Management Systems.
  • Interact with customers and suppliers and assist in the review of customer and supplier complaints/8D's.

Qualifications
  • Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in the field of Engineering or combination of a Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of relevant engineering experience.
  • 2-5 years of relevant engineering experience (includes internships/co-ops) is preferred.
  • Clients are located throughout the US and internationally, candidates must be willing to frequently travel year-round.
  • Must be willing to relocate to Toledo, OH or surrounding area.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and off-shifts (second and third shift) as the project requires.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must.  
  • Must be proficient with MS Office and experience with AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Must be willing to travel to our office in Toledo, OH for an in-person interview.
