The museum cashier's primary role is to operate the cash register and collect admission fees and payment for gift shop items in the form of cash, credit cards and checks. Associates provide visitors with a map and information about the museum and its exhibits, answer general questions regarding parking and directions and provide information about the university and the surrounding community.

Accurate cash handling and attention to detail is vital. Associates should be personable, dependable, responsible, take pride in their appearance and in representing the Texas Memorial Museum as well as The University of Texas. The Associates role demands strong communication skills, a diplomatic spirit and a passion for helping people have a great and memorable experience at the museum.

This is a Work-Study position and only eligible to students who have received a work-study award through financial aid.  

A cover letter that includes the days and times you are available to work is required. The museum is open 9am to 5pm, Tuesday through Saturday.
