Position Open To: Master’s or PhD student enrolled in at least 9 credit hours and in good academic standing / if currently on a GRA or TA’ship, must have advisor’s permission
Earliest Start Date: September 7th, 2021
Position Duration: Fall 2021 - Spring 2022
Location: Remote work options + UT campus as needed
Weekly Scheduled Hours: 10 hours per week
Pay: $20 per hour

Overview:
Texas Career Engagement’s Graduate Career & Professional Development team is hiring 5 Graduate Assistants: 2 Career Education Consultants, 2 Industry Consultants, and 1 Career & Identity Consultant.

Required Skills for all Graduate Career Consultants:
- Advanced Microsoft Suite experience
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent research skills
- Experience working in a diverse team setting
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and organize information in a way that can be communicated to alumni, industry experts, university staff, and students/postdocs
- Ability to work in a startup environment, where deadlines and projects evolve
Preferred Skills for all Graduate Career Consultants:
- Experience with content creation (web and/or printed)
- Skills in event/workshop/course planning, coordination and logistics
