K12 entrepreneurial initiatives student assistant

K12 entrepreneurial project manager


LaunchNET student project managers are undergraduate or graduate students with an interest in entrepreneurship, innovation, and/or creative collaboration who will work with the LaunchNET staff (Director, Asst Director, and Marketing Manager) in specific areas but also as part of an overall team. 

Project Managers will take ownership of project areas (as designated in title), while operating as part of a startup environment, where some events call for “all hands on deck.” Ideal candidates enjoy a friendly, supportive team setting, and are self-starting/directing while being comfortable asking for support when needed. Experience in entrepreneurship is not necessary (for all but the I3 Lab PM) but an interest is beneficial. Willingness to learn new processes, tools, and engage with a wide variety of collaborators within and outside the university a definite plus. 

Position is for Fall 2021 semester with the opportunity to continue beyond.

Interviews can be in-person or remote, depending on circumstances.

Qualifications for all positions:
  • Interest or experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, creativity
  • Experience in planning workshops, events, evaluation, and/or curriculum 
  • Willingness to jump into events and projects 
  • Open to all majors

Specific to this role:
  • Background check required (paid for by LaunchNET)
  • Assists with creation, execution, and evaluation of entrepreneurial programming with mostly high school-focused audiences 
  • Project/event planning, curriculum development, design/entrepreneurial thinking, and collaborative teamwork skills will be put to use in this position
  • Assist with other LaunchNET tasks/projects
  • Helping with tabling/Admissions events
