Work Study: URA - Research Assistant
Performs administrative, events, communications and facilities functions as required by the administrative staff of the Institute for Geophysics, to include:
- Campus run for cashier’s cage, JGB/ROC document and package transfers, battery/lightbulb/toner recycling, and other in-person transactions with OA, inventory, and other central offices. (valid TXDL required, driver’s safety training will be provided)
- Voucher scanning and filing
- Mailroom tasks (organize and refill supplies, distribute mail, empty/replace shredder bag)
- Accounting log updates
- Mileage sheet pickup and replacement, CARMA updates
- Vehicle maintenance dropoff and pickup/refueling
- Assist with surplus, furniture, and office moves and Installations (Whiteboards, Wall Hangings)
- Assist with ROC receiving and deliveries
- Seminar/event setup and teardown support
- Identify and report building damage and work orders required, submit in WORQS and/or to Facilities Manager
