Overview
The Event Coordinator – Part Time position offers temporary seasonal help as part of a dedicated and trained Event Marketing promotional staff on behalf of the Hoosier Lottery to complete successful sponsorship and retail events throughout the state of Indiana. Marketing events create engaging trial and engagement opportunities with players, as well as on-site sales opportunities. With a promising return to in-person events, this role will join our marketing team to execute successful, fun and entertaining promotional event activations at sporting events, concerts, State Fair events, community festivals and retail locations. This role is aligned around the Hoosier Lottery brand’s specific business and sponsorship objectives.
The Event Coordinator role has responsibility for executing sponsorship and retail events reporting to the Event Marketing Manager. Responsibilities include supporting setup, execution and completion of events, working alongside peers within the Event Marketing team.
Generating over $1.5 billion in sales annually, IGT-Indiana is responsible for marketing, product development, sales, technology and operations functions on behalf of the Hoosier Lottery. Our shared mission is to maximize net income to the State of Indiana in a socially responsible manner.
Responsibilities
• Ensure that the customer/player is 18 years of age or older. Verifies age by asking for identification.
• Sells and redeems Hoosier Lottery Scratch-off and Draw game tickets at Hoosier Lottery sponsored events.
• Assists customers with questions concerning the Lottery and its products.
• Assists with the setup and tear down of all promotional equipment at each event.
• Operates all the promotional activities assigned to them (i.e., wheel spin and other promotional activities).
• Awards monetary and non-monetary prizes to winners at Hoosier Lottery sponsored events.
• Performs ticket validations for the sellers and players at Hoosier Lottery sponsored events.
• Verifies inventory and cash at the opening and closing of Hoosier Lottery sponsored events.
• Assist Sales Representatives at events held on retailer property.
• Performs other required tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Knowledge of and ability to handle and balance money transactions accurately.
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, primarily when dealing with the public.
• Ability to maintain composure when working under pressure.
• Must be available to work weekends, afternoons and some holidays.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record required.
