Description and Requirements
About Our Team 
Our team is part of the Worldwide Marketing group and would love to have an intern who is passionate about global communications and events. On a high level, our department is responsible for communicating Lenovo’s message out to the world, but we do a lot more than that. We also have to make sure every Lenovo employee is communicated with in the most logical and concise manner. Beyond internal and external communications, our team manages Lenovo’s global events. These events are both proprietary and trade show events, and we work together to tactfully communicate our company’s platforms throughout the year. You Will Do 
You will provide strategic internal and executive communications support to our worldwide functions. You will work closely with internal communications team members to draft daily news stories, employee newsletters, leverage social media tools for internal promotions and contests, along with supporting the design and production of printed assets, video, and digital design. You will also provide support to the events team members by assisting with the planning, organizing, and execution of some major global events. 

Responsibilities include: 
- Interviewing culture champion employees and writing stories highlighting their culture achievements for publication on internal and external channels 
- Writing other miscellaneous stories as needed for publications on the company’s internal news portal 
- Using social media channels to engage Lenovo employees with product launches, contests and other promotional campaigns 
-Assist with measurement reporting on effectiveness of communications channels and content 
- Participate in cross business unit/cross geography team calls and provide updates and readouts on projects 
- Providing support to employee communications team in support of internal employee events 
- Gathering materials and drafting internal newsletters (photography, success stories, etc). 

You will also be responsible for developing and distributing communication materials that support and align initiatives with the company’s overall communications and brand strategy. You will research, write, edit, and publish media to provide timely, accurate information to the appropriate internal audiences. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure communication strategy and initiatives align with their intended messages and timelines. 

Who You Are: 
You definitely should have: 
- Working towards a degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or English 

It would be a plus if you have: 
- Superior English written and verbal communication skills 
- Experience writing in Chinese or Mandarin 
- Strong project management and organizational skills 
- Experience creating and editing web pages in SharePoint 
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word applications 
- Social media experience 
- Experience in events management preferred 
- Digital design and video editing experience 
- Excel expertise 
-Prior experience working at or with creative or PR agency
