Compensation Intern - Fall 2021 (Disney)
Job Summary:
Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) brings together the Company’s best-in-class product, technology, and commercialization teams together into one global organization. DMED manages operations of the Company’s streaming services including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, Disney+ Hotstar and Star; as well as all domestic broadcast and cable television networks. DMED is also responsible for the P&L management and all distribution, network and engineering operations, sales, advertising, data, and certain key technology functions worldwide for the Company’s content engines.

Responsibilities:
As part of DMED’s Compensation team our intern will provide support to Compensation leaders in all aspects of managing DMED compensation programs, across base pay and incentive pay. Programs include market survey and salary structure models, job matching & role assignment, auditing systems of record and establishing checks on administering variable pay. Critical thinking, analytical and excel skills, good time management, communication of project progression and organization skills are critical for this position. Prior professional experience is helpful but not necessary.
Basic Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word & SharePoint
- Strong Microsoft excel skills (vlookup formulae and pivot tables)
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills allowing you to work well with colleagues across departments at many levels
- Enthusiastic, proactive, eager to learn and willing to take on new challenges
- Well organized, with strong relationship building and time management skills
- Ability to take direction from multiple stakeholders, balance numerous projects simultaneously, prioritize deadlines and effectively work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage confidential information
- An appreciation for the Disney brand!
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in building & maintaining SharePoint site(s) that allow teams to collaborate & navigate through resources
Required Education
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last eighteen (18) months at time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, or Disney Professional Internship Program
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree or graduated with a major in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field
Additional Information:
- The approximate dates of this internship are September 2021 – January 2022
- Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Work Environment: This internship is a remote internship with possibility to move to the office. The internship requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated work space and the ability to work independently.
