Digital Media Internship

VMG is looking for a talented digital media and marketing Intern who will be responsible for assisting the Digital Media Manager in implementing web design and content management.  
 
Responsibilities:
 
·     Updating websites with products and content
·     Assist with social Media content creation / management
·     Keep up to date and informed on social media trends and adapt accordingly
·     Assist in proof reading marketing collateral for distribution
·     Complete other administrative tasks as needed
 
 
Basic Qualifications:
 
·     Strong English grammar and writing skills
·     Edit and publish content using Word Press, Woo Commerce, Adobe, and Apple
·     Has basic understanding of social media content and is able to recognize and react to social media trends or content within events that have social media potential
·     Has understanding of HTML and related web authoring tools and software
·     Candidates should have the demonstrated ability to write and think for themselves
·     Basic understanding of video and photo editing techniques in Adobe Suite
·     Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to manage workload in fast-paced environment
 
Preferred:
 
·     Experience in production, print journalism, digital media, sports media or involvement with collegiate TV station
·     Knowledge of current events, trends, and/or sports
·     Familiarity with processes and procedures of a media production department
·     Familiarity with server-based media and/or non-linear editing equipment
·     Familiarity with the media landscape, including knowledge of business trends and technologies
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Required Education:
 
Enrolled as a junior, senior or graduate student in an accredited college/university in the semester prior to the internship or a recent graduate within the past 18 months in
Communication, Digital Media, Graphic Design or related majors.
 
 
Additional Information:
 
Internship Eligibility:
Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Most have reliable transportation
Program Dates: Flexible. Interns will work 10-20 hours per week throughout the internship. There may be some flexibility based on candidate’s academic schedule.
Work Environment: This internship will be in-person at our office in Tamarac, FL and/or remote
