At BASF, we create chemistry – and have been doing so for over 150 years. We combine economic success, social responsibility and environmental protection. Through science and innovation, we enable our customers in almost all industries to meet the current and future needs of society. Our products and systems solutions contribute to conserving resources, ensuring healthy food and nutrition and helping to improve quality of life. We have summed up the contribution in our corporate purpose: We create chemistry for a sustainable future. This is where you come in.
BASF invites Ph.D. students and academic postdoctoral researchers to apply for the North American Research Forum. The Research Forum offers a unique opportunity for young scientists to gain insight into the chemical industry and learn about how to apply their physical, biosciences, or related data science postgraduate academic experience in R&D, technology, marketing or production. This year’s Forum will be held virtually from Monday, August 30th to Friday, September 3rd. The approximate time commitment will be 12:00pm-5:30pm EST daily Monday through Thursday and 11am-1pm EST Friday. We ask that participants make every effort to attend all sessions during the Forum. As representatives of their university and their working groups, the participants will exchange experience and ideas within the group and with BASF colleagues through presentations, discussions, virtual lab tours, a sustainability challenge, and numerous informal meetings and networking sessions.
