PPS Head Start is a district wide preschool program serving 760 brilliant students across the Portland Community. Approximately 50% of the children reflect our Latinx, Chinese, Vietnamese, African American/Black and linguistically diverse families across 9 sites. This position is one of three Enrichment Teachers that move from classroom to classroom at one site providing meaningful learning activities to three and four year old students in music, art, and dance.
The successful candidate must be someone who wants to enhance children's growth and development, both physically and emotionally, and provide families with educational, health and nutritional services, linking them to community services. Experience/Education Requirement
- TSPC licensure with Elementary endorsement
Preferred but not Required
- Bilingual and Multilingual
- Experience working in a richly diverse community
- Experience working in an early childhood educational environment
- Bi-cultural lived experiences of People of Color - Chinese, Russian, Somali, Spanish, Vietnamese, Black/African American
