Water Research Intern
Water Research Intern (Part-time, Unpaid)
Washington Water Trust | Seattle, WA
Washington Water Trust (WWT), founded in 1998, works to restore Washington’s rivers and streams. With increasing population growth and climate change creating more severe drought conditions, protecting our rivers and streams for our communities and vulnerable fish populations has become increasingly important. WWT works to protect Washington’s freshwaters by working with partners to craft creative solutions in the following four key areas:
- Helping Rivers Flow – ensuring sufficient in-stream flow where fish need it most
- Reconnecting Water in the Landscape – restoring natural hydrologic function for our forests, wetlands, and floodplains
- Planning for Future Water Use – to meet long-term water needs for fish and growing communities
- Developing Alternative Waters Sources – to reduce impact to our rivers and streams
