Interactive Marketing Specialist

GPA is currently seeking a full-time Interactive Marketing Specialist for our McCook, IL Facility. Located 15 miles west of downtown Chicago.
Primary Functions:
- Responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of digital and online marketing initiatives to engage customers and partners, enhance brand awareness, and grow our database of subscribers in unification with the Marketing Manager and/or Director of Marketing.
- Responsible for the content development and design of the company’s digital and online channels (corporate and e-Commerce websites, online customer-facing tools and portals, and interactive campaigns that incorporate email, video and social media)
- Responsible for the alignment of GPA’s websites (corporate and e-Commerce) with company goals and initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and coordinate innovative, effective and comprehensive social media strategies and programs in alignment with strategic marketing initiatives and company goals.
- Create, maintain and coordinate online content, including but not limited to photos, digital imagery, videos, copy and blog/conversation content using designated social media management tool for company’s social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest, YouTube, various blogs and other social media).
- Responsible for daily interaction, including but not limited to, posts, tweets, shares and likes, on all applicable social media channels.
- Create, maintain and coordinate all aspects of customer-only social network site (RUniverse.org), including but not limited to, content (copy and imagery), user profiles, and requests.
- Monitor and track the company’s online community content and online channels daily, including but not limited to, social media responses, visitor/follower/member feedback and web/internet requests.
- Responsible for overall coordination of GPA’s email marketing campaigns (development of email layout, proofing, scheduling, sending and analytics reporting) using the designated email marketing tool. This task will be prepared in unification with the Graphic Designer and Marketing Communications Specialist to develop content and imagery consistent with goals and strategies for email communications.
- Create, update, and maintain content for GPA’s corporate and e-Commerce websites, including but not limited to photos, digital imagery, videos and copy.
- Develop, coordinate and implement features, upgrades and additions to GPA’s corporate and e-Commerce websites with assessment of organization and audience needs for continual improvements.
- Measure performance and report analytics of the company’s corporate and e-Commerce websites along with social media channels to the Marketing Manager and/or Director of Marketing.
Secondary Responsibilities:

Maintain
the consistency of brand messaging across all web and social media
platforms/channels.
- Monitor forums where GPA participates or has a market presence in and disseminates information and content to the appropriate Business Development Managers, Product Directors/Managers or Area Vice Presidents.
- Coordinate and implement websites optimization and search engine optimization (SEO) strategies in support of lead generation.
- Monitor, evaluate and make recommendation on trends and techniques in social media tools and methodologies.
- Assist in the development and design of convention and multi-media presentations combining still imagery, sound, text, video and animation of online, website and direct presentations.
- Assist in the development and design of various marketing materials as requested by the Marketing Manager and/or Director of Marketing.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s
degree in marketing, interactive media, visual communications or related
field strongly desired.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marketing, web design, or related field with hands-on experience in the development, design and management of websites, interactive or social media.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills.
- Solid knowledge of design and print production.
- Ability to work on both Macintosh and PC computer operating systems.
- Knowledge of web 2.0 technologies, including social media sites, blogs and RSS feeds.
- Proficient with the following software: Flash, Dreamweaver, JavaScript, HTML/CSS code, iMovie (or other video editing software), Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point).
- Experience with Google Ad Words preferred.
- Experience with open source CMS (Drupal) along with site security protocols and procedures.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work within a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to work overtime as needed and travel (less than 10%).
