Disaster Planning Program – Administrative Support Assistant Small Business Administration – Temporary Position

Since the onset of the Pandemic, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has faced an unprecedented call to support the nation’s economic recovery efforts. The agency is now reviewing the SBA’s response to revise protocols and processes for this and future events. The Office of Continuous Operations and Risk Management (OCORM) is leading this work and looking for support.

Term Appointment: Now until September 30, 2021, Full Time, Remote
General Scale 7, with Locality Pay

About OCORM
We are a small team with a big impact. We conduct enterprise-wide risk management, disaster planning, continuity of operations, audit compliance and the insider threat program for SBA. OCORM is leading agency-wide disaster planning for COVID-19 recovery and other disasters.

The Position
OCORM is currently performing an internal review of the SBA, that includes surveys, interviews, focus groups, and data collection. The Administrative Support Assistant would join during the analysis stage of the review, and aid in the drafting and finalization of the report summarizing findings. OCORM will then lead a collaborative effort within the agency to update the agency’s disaster planning protocols to implement recommendations of the report.

·      Strong research, analytical, note taking and writing skills
·      Strong time management and organizational skills
·      Skilled in Microsoft tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
·      Bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement for two-grade interval positions, or 1 academic year of graduate education (or law school, as specified in qualification standards or individual occupational requirements) [See GS 7 Eligibility Requirements]

Preferred, by not required, skills:
·      Familiarity with Federal Government structure
·      Familiarity with Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, also known as the CARES Act
