SEIRI functions as an independent campus unit administered by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research. SEIRI serves as the hub of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education innovation, research, evaluation and consultation and brings together expert educational researchers with scientists and discipline-based educational researchers in order to inform and reform undergraduate and graduate education across IUPUI’s campus and beyond.

Student Front Desk Support Associate
Under the supervision and guidance of the Administrative Assistant, the student front desk support associate is an integral part of the department. This position will contribute to the success of SEIRI by providing excellent customer service at the front desk as well as assisting with office projects, graphics and marketing materials, transcriptions and special events.

The candidate should have general office skills, experience using graphic arts programs such as Publisher and Illustrator, and strong written and oral communication skills.

Through their work in this position, students will become acquainted with the following profiles: Communicator – Students will learn how to be better communicators by building relationships with faculty and staff.
Problem Solver – Students will collaborate with staff to provide positive outcomes on various projects. Students will gain analytical skills by evaluating current procedures and determining effectiveness through the use of data and research. Students in the front desk support associate position will gain valuable skills that are transferable to academic and professional career goals.
