Description:
This is an entry level position with the Lock Desk Division. Lock Desk Analysts provide specialized analytical support to clients in the management of their rate lock process for the sale of residential mortgages on the secondary mortgage market. Analysts are responsible for reviewing and verifying lock requests, committing loans to investors, distributing confirmations, entering data accurately and efficiently in multiple loan origination systems, pricing loan scenarios in multiple products and pricing engines, and for routinely identifying issues, compiling and analyzing data and creating reports.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Job duties include accurately and efficiently entering loan information required for locking, relocking, modifying and extending mortgage commitments, as well as, verifying pricing on all lock requests and confirmations, committing loans to investors via the internet, phone, fax or email prior to daily investor deadlines. Other duties include assisting inbound callers with pricing registration questions and procedures, reconciling daily locks, providing price quotes for rates not published on rate sheets, resolving price discrepancies at the time of lock and loan purchase.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate for this entry level position must be motivated to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment that is driven by ever changing global market conditions. They must possess the ability to quickly learn how to operate a wide variety of software systems and must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. They must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem solving ability and an aptitude for mathematics.
Salary & Benefits:
Starting pay $16.50 per hour + annual performance-based bonus
