HOW YOU’LL FLY
The focus of this position is to support various Document Control and Training activities and projects in bluebird bio’s Quality Systems group. The candidate will perform various tasks including those that support the management and archival of submitted documents and other assigned tasks related to training.
As a Document Control & Training Full-Time Intern bird reporting to the Associate Director, Document Management, you'll help to bring more patients their bluebird days by:
  • Assist with the development, finalization and/or revision of training materials for QA led and role-based trainings
  • Create, update and/or maintain quality document and/or training related trackers
  • Identify and reduce gaps in the document management system
  • Assist with the development and issuance of Bound Logbooks
  • Facilitate newsletter development and communications to customers
  • Track and process submitted quality documents/records in the Document Control room
  • Upload quality documents to secure document repositories as assigned; assist with migration projects
  • Archive quality records to long term storage facility
  • Perform other duties and quality compliance projects as assigned, to strengthen compliance and drive efficiencies
  • Support driving a culture of quality compliance at bluebird bio
  • Other related tasks as needed
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
You’re the bird we’re looking for if you:
  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.
  • College student who is fully enrolled in their junior or senior year, or graduate school.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products and ability to learn new software
  • Must be capable of multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess the (Ability to work a three-month assignment, full-time – June 7 – August 27)
  • This position is intended to be HYBRID, that is, mostly remote with some on-site work required in our Cambridge, MA, location. Candidates must be commutable to this location or willing to relocate (relocation not available for this position).
