Research Assistant Intern

The Steadman Philippon Research Institute is known throughout the world for our research into the causes, prevention and treatment of orthopaedic disorders. We are committed to solving orthopaedic problems that limit an individual's ability to maintain an active life.

The Steadman Philippon Research Institute currently has a one-year Research Assistant Internship opportunity available to start immediately. SPRI is offering this opportunity to advance its research mission and to provide a unique opportunity for research participation to future clinicians, scientists, and engineers.

Also responsible for maintenance culture of hES cells and hiPS cells, differentiation culture to generate paraxial or lateral plate mesodermal progeny, and chondrogenesis and ligamentogenesis culture using the chondro-progenitor cells and joint progenitor-like cells. In addition, the intern will be responsible for gene expression profiling studies of the generated cells and tissues by RNA preparation, reverse transcription (RT), and real-time RT-PCR.  

Department: Center of Regenerative Sports Medicine (CRSM)

Location: Ft. Collins, CO.

Research Assistants support SPRI permanent staff in research tasks including, but not limited to, preparing and conducting experimental lab procedures, conducting literature reviews, compiling research data, preparing presentations, and writing manuscripts for journal publication, book chapters, case reports and surgical technique papers. Co-authorship is attainable for research assistants according to the same policy that applies to all SPRI researchers (ICMJE guidelines).


Requirements
