Business Development & Operations

Business Development Operations Specialist.  We are looking for this position to start as a training fellowship, then develop into a commission-sales teammate and eventually become employee-owned position. We are looking to engage individuals familiar with nonprofit and social sector compliance systems in Florida and Pennsylvania.

This Philadelphia-and Florida based remote position will be a flexible role foced on experiencial learning and community-building. 

 About the Role

The Business Development Operations Specialist serves as a critical support function for our growth, planning and function. Reporting to the CEO, the BDO has a key community relations, sales and organizational function. Engaging key leaders as partners, and supporting day to day operations of the organization, efficiency, process, tactics, outreach and planning and engagement efforts helps TLAW operate. The BDO will support multi-disciplinary deliverables such as new client engagement and growth, community relations business development and implementation. The BDO will work with the CEO to manage website and software oversite and internal presentation development. This role is a great opportunity to learn hands-on about social sector business development operations from functional leaders in a growing business as a key teammate.

You Will:  
Business Development and Community Relations 40%:

Create, communicate, and engage with stakeholders and strategic partners to increase TLAW'S growth performance.  

Develop and communicate community relations statements and plans for BDO team members and then implement
 
Create an evaluation system for TLAW
track and report engagement and business development 

Create behind-the-scenes calculations and queries and apply that knowledge to determine reasons for any successful engagement, retention and loss.

Research, calculate, evaluate performance measures and resolve customer service issues rapidly.

Engage and on-board New clients & retain/client relations- 30%:

Organize and facilitate team to find best products,
and functional job skills

Coordinate ongoing department training including monthly series and new product launches.  

Identify opportunities to improve our training curriculum, including the creation of online modules and grow with the TLAW team.

CEO Support/organizational Support/operations- 30%:

Keep the organization running smoothly with ideas, key initiatives and operational/ administrative tasks

Partner with stakeholders to create online events to engage audiences. Collaborate with leaders to develop and run team events and incentives

Schedule, run, and troubleshoot events.

Complete other administrative duties and special projects

You Have:

A 4-year college degree or equivalent experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proven experience managing multiple, competing priorities

Discretion when handling sensitive material and communications, independent & innovative viewpoint in the social sector 

1-2 years experience in internal or external customer service

2+ years Experience in business development & excited to engage as a leader

1-2 Operations and administration experience willing to dive in, plan and implement.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Ads, Google Business, WordPress, Adobe Creative, CRM/Hubspot, Canva, Mailchimp, SEO and Google Suite applications. 

Experience with business development planning and management.

Experience using CRMs, DMS, WordPress, hosting services, content management, video, Adobe and virtual events.
