Job Summary *
The Sustainability Curriculum and Program Development Coordinator (Coordinator) will develop a hands-on curriculum for Turnip Green Creative Reuse's aftercare and school programming to further the agency's mission of fostering creativity and sustainability through reuse.
The Sustainability Curriculum and Program Development Coordinator serves with a 30-member cohort of community-focused individuals who receive skills training, professional development, and networking opportunities through a partnership between Turnip Green Creative Reuse and Hands On Nashville, Middle Tennessee’s volunteer resource center.

Job Responsibilities *
The Sustainability Curriculum and Program Development Coordinator (Coordinator) will enhance the experience of Turnip Green Creative Reuse (TGCR) reuse center visitors, community members, and partner organizations through inclusive reuse education. The Coordinator will create and implement a fun sustainability curriculum that allows individuals to learn more about reuse and connect with the resources available through TGCR. The Coordinator will take an active role in developing and facilitating TGCR programming for children and adults throughout the year.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about sustainability, art, and education, and have effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with Nashville’s diverse community. Prior teaching experience preferred. Additionally, the Coordinator should be agile to adapt to a changing workload in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment that sometimes includes night and weekend hours. The Coordinator will gain knowledge on creating a curriculum as well as developing and facilitating a program with TGCR's partners.
·      Create dynamic curriculum that aligns with TGCR's mission.
·      Build program kits with materials and curriculum and distribute to program sites.
·      Assist with coordinating Teaching Artists to facilitate programs.
·      Maintain and cultivate new partnerships in the community.
·      Plan and execute events with Teaching Artists to build relationships among team members.
·      Strategize creative ways to increase outreach through tabling events and greater community awareness.
·      Create and administer surveys to gauge program impact.
 
Qualifications 
 
The Hands On Nashville AmeriCorps Program is designed for entry-level or experienced professionals interested in a career in nonprofit management. You have amazing skills. We will teach you how to put them to work for the greater good.

Minimum Requirements
·       Commitment to fulfill a one-year term of service (August 16, 2021 - July 29, 2022)
·       Bachelor's Degree;
·       Valid driver’s license
·       Reliable access to transportation (Members will be reimbursed for service-related mileage.)
·       U.S. Citizen, National, or Lawful Permanent Resident
·       National Service Criminal History Check clearance
