Position Overview
As an entry level landscape architect/designer at Outdoor Design Group you will work with our team to develop creative design solutions, and to assemble content and deliverables. The position requires daily coordination with other staff, outside consultants and clients. You should have a positive attitude, be able to work independently as well as collaboratively, and have the ability to manage multiple responsibilities on a daily basis. Salary and Benefits are commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate with our team in the preparation of design concepts through CAD landscape construction drawings for high-profile commercial and residential projects. You may also occasionally be asked to assist with basic administrative and common tasks that come along with being part of a small business.
- Assist in site analysis, client interaction, landscape design, graphics, and CAD landscape construction drawing preparation for commercial and high-end residential landscape projects.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- A Degree in Landscape Architecture, OR another closely related design degree and the desire to work on and learn about commercial and residential landscape design projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
- You must be detail oriented and well organized, with creativity and good communication skills.
- Ability to quickly shift between multiple tasks and to effectively handle adversity.
Other Applicable Skills
- Hand sketching and rendering ability.
- Wordpress and web design experience .
- Writing and/or content creation experience.
Location
Our office is conveniently located in historic Olde Town Arvada, adjacent to the new Gold Line light rail station. Olde Town Arvada is located 7 miles northwest of the Colorado State Capitol in Denver.
