Marketing Summer Intern

Based in Chicago, In-Sattva® is founded on the basic principle of its Sanskrit meaning, “living in goodness.” Our eclectic collections of colorful bohemian apparel, accessories, home goods and kitchenware bring the beauty, style, art, and rich colors of Eastern wares to our customers in the West. We are fast-growing and creating a market in the US for Kurta Tunics.

We are currently seeking a Marketing Summer Intern who is aspiring to make a career in Marketing and Supply Chain industry. The candidate will assist and be trained in day-to-day PR and Marketing activities, local and international. Duties include but are not limited to assisting in marketing activities, social media growth, managing PR around new product launches, create new marketing campaigns and recruit brand ambassadors. Candidate will also get trained our new supply chain initiatives.

Qualified candidates must be in school pursuing a marketing or business-related degree. Must have the ability to efficiently organize, prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines within a flexible and changing environment. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail are essential for this position, as are the willingness to work flexible hours, take on a challenge, and work hard to accomplish tasks on time.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

❖ Assist the marketing team in new creative ways to reach target audience

❖ Support the management team by generating creatives and key on-brand

messages

❖ Assist in developing new PR campaigns, strategies, and initiatives to positively

impact the public perception of our products

❖ Reach out to media outlets to communicate our brand story to media outlets

❖ Identify possible collaborators and partners and develop working relationships

❖ Assist in managing PR around new product and campaign launches

❖ Assist in supply chain initiatives

❖ Any other office tasks, as assigned by the team

PROFILE OF EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

❖ Must be enrolled in an accredited school pursuing a business or marketing

degree

❖ Strong work ethic with a desire to learn

❖ Excellent communication skills

❖ Team player

❖ Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

❖ Plus, a passion for all things fashion, marketing, and trade

This is a Summer internship. The start and end dates are flexible.
