Najim Summer Institute for Career Advancement

The Harvey Najim Center for Innovation and Career Advancement is offering The Najim Summer Institute for Career Advancement designed to strengthen student’s marketable skills and career readiness through a 5 week online summer program. Online modules will be presented in a format accommodating to students who are enrolled in regular courses this summer, although summer enrollment is not required. This is a free course (noncredit). Format is synchronous and asynchronous (synchronous approximately 3 hours per week). This program is designed for Seniors who plan to graduate UTSA within the next year. 

Topics covered will include leadership development, communication skills refinement, and creative and critical ideation. Students will also have the opportunity to earn industry standard tool specific certifications such as Adobe. Students will benefit from this experience by broadening their network, obtaining real world tools that will aid them in their career, and having a more holistic understanding of how to bridge their classroom experience to a career. Space is limited to 30 students. All interested students are required to complete and application via Handshake by the Deadline of May 21, 2021. For questions, please reach out to the Najim Center – UTSANajimCenter@utsa.edu.
