Job Description
As an Architect I, you will have the chance to work with our internal network of engineers and architects designing facilities for the Federal Government and related institutions. Working with other members of the team, you will develop design packages using Revit, AutoCAD, and/or Microstation.
Working under general supervision assists with routine and non-routine Architectural schematic design packages and rendering, drawings, reports, studies, specifications, etc.
Checks drawings, reports, analysis as requested.
Under minimal supervision, applies standard Architectural tasks. Exhibits working knowledge of applicable codes.
Works within prescribed budgets and schedules.
Prepares and coordinates Architectural drawings, sketches, diagrams, reports, studies, specifications, etc. as required.
Participates in conferences with client to establish project objectives and resolve design problems.
Checks and approves Designers and Drafters drawings.
Directs and assist lower level Architects, Designers and Drafters as required.
Demonstrates ability to get along with coworkers, customers and visitors.
Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Job Requirements
Position requires Bachelor Degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering and typically has 1 year minimum relevant experience.
Ability to produce architectural construction packages using Revit, AutoCAD, and/or Microstation.
Ability to produce architectural schematic design packages and renderings using Revit and/or Sketchup
Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of architectural codes and standards, including IBCC and NFPA.
Ability to read and interpret documents, architectural and engineering drawings etc.
Ability to write routine and non-routine reports and correspondence effectively and efficiently.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Federal Government Clearance:
This position may require the ability to obtain a government clearance. This position may require reviews and test for absence of any illegal drugs along with a background investigation by the Federal government in order to obtain an access authorization prior to employment, and may require subsequent reinvestigations may be required.
