Quantum Computing Algorithm Scientist
Qualifications, Skills, Experience & Responsibilities:
- Ph.D. / MS degree in quantum computer science, quantum computing, computer science, or related discipline
- Experience in building quantum computing architectures, platforms, algorithms, and related programming languages (Python, C/C++, Java, or Julia) is a must
- Familiarity with Qiskit software, including Qiskit Aqua for domain applications and Qiskit Terra for quantum circuit design and optimization is desired
- Knowledge of implementing optimization algorithms, quantum computing for drug discovery, and high-performance numerical simulations is a plus
- Understanding of machine learning, data mining and analysis, and AI-driven drug discovery is preferred
- Hands-on proficiency in programming with quantum open-source libraries and software such as pyQuil, Cirq, Q#, etc. is a plus
- Key Skills: Shor's Algorithm, Grover's Algorithm, Quantum Entanglement, Quantum Superposition, QAOA, Quantum Approximate Optimization Algorithm, Variational Quantum Eigensolver, VQE, Algebraic Algorithms, Number Theoretic Algorithms, Oracular Algorithms, Numerics
- Experience in formulating Hamiltonian for quantum chemical systems of interest, including first and second quantization representations, and map formulation to unitary quantum gate operations is preferred
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience of technical writing for scientific journal publications is required
- Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent team dynamics in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
- A strong scientific track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or patent literature is desired
- The candidate must meet the supervisor every week to be properly evaluated
