K-6 Behavior Interventionist
K-6 Behavior Interventionist - Permanent, full-time position beginning ASAP. Teacher is responsible for planning and implementing an effective program of instruction based on students identified needs and Individualized Education Programs (IEP's).
Job responsibilities include:
- Teaching social skills instruction - creating lesson plans and instructional material to meet individual student needs that align to all applicable state standards, assessment anchors, and eligible content
- Complete Individualized Education Plan (IEP) process, which includes IEP development, collaboration with multidisciplinary team members, and preparation of the required paperwork
- Collaborate and assist regular education teachers in the implementation of special education supports and services to meet social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.
- Develop and implement functional behavior assessments, behavior intervention plans, and behavioral support strategies/interventions
- Work collaboratively with the pre-referral team to develop/design and implement strategies and interventions
Requirements
- PA Special Education Certification Required
- Experience in academic, social, and behavioral (ABA principles) programming preferred
