Well-Being Coach
Summary of Position: Coaches support their clients' journey of optimizing their well-being by guiding them through the process of health behavior change.
Qualifications: We strive to employ students that are team players with exceptional customer service skills to help our department create a welcoming, inclusive environment for the campus community’s health and well-being. Well-being Coaches must already hold an approved certification before applying to work with Campus Recreation.
Expected Hours: Well-being Coaches must be able to work 6 or more hours per week. Hours are not guaranteed and will fluctuate dependent upon client registrations. Students are not able to work more than 20 hours per week during the academic year.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Hold & maintain an approved health coach certification (ie. ACE Health Coach or a program approved by NBHWC)
· Uphold department’s policies and procedures
· Work one-on-one with clients to support their goals
· Plan and lead additional programs and offerings to enhance the well-being of URI students and community (ie. Podcast, Workshops, Groups, Incentive Programs)
· Use evidence based theories and practices to safely engage clients in their health behavior change
· Abide by all HIPAA Privacy Guidelines
· Keeps client files updated
· Attend all department-wide and program specific trainings and meetings
· Report directly to assigned Supervisor
