Institutional Advancement Intern

The New York Hall of Science (NYSCI) is the city’s premier interactive museum of science and technology, as well as a global leader in STEM education and a laboratory for new forms of learning. Founded during the 1964 – 1965 World’s Fair, NYSCI is recognized for groundbreaking exhibitions, innovative educational programs, youth development and mentorship, teacher professional development initiatives, and large-scale events that draw children and adults into hands-on STEM learning.
The Institutional Advancement Intern will support NYSCI’s fundraising efforts through donor research and database management. S/he will conduct research to help identify potential funders and support data integrity effort in our donor database. The intern will learn to use fundraising research tools (e.g., iWave, Foundation Search, LinkedIn) and learn organization and presentation skills. S/he will also gain experience with the fundraising database Raiser’s Edge NXT.
Preferred qualifications include strong research and organization skills, experience with nonprofit fundraising, and facility with databases. Interest in science and STEM education a plus.
