2021 Video Production Internship
Big Shoulders Digital Video Productions is a full service production company which
offers production and post-production services: video editing, graphic design and
sound design as well as live event production for corporate, broadcast, and
promotional agencies.
Qualifications
Students and recent graduates with interest in the technical side of video and post
production are encouraged to apply. A background in Mac & PC computers,
production techniques, editing techniques (Avid Premiere and Final Cut), internet research,
motion graphic design and web design a benefit. Experience with video equipment
is also required. Must have valid drivers license
Responsibilities/activities could include the following:
Observe and assist at on-location video productions
Observe and assist studio productions
Observe and assist edit sessions with clients
Work with Graphics team as an assistant
Log camera footage
Learn to digitize footage into the Avid editing system
Edit internal projects
Learn routing and tape machine operation
Learn fiber transmission and satellite feeds
Research information on the web, run errands, help maintain the office
Marketing and Sales assistant opportunities too for interested candidates
Minimum of 20 hours a week (2 full days) based on your class/work schedule.
Compensation
The general internship is unpaid. Monetary compensation may be offered for those
who are able to work on an assignment for an income-producing project during the
days, nights and weekends. Possible jobs include client requested support,
unsupervised shoots and in-house duplication. Interns will have access to our
equipment depending on BSDVP’s workload and schedule.
