Graphic Designer - University Recreation
The UREC Graphic Designer will create professional digital designs for a variety of media outlets to effectively promote UREC.
Responsibilities
- Create printable designs ranging in sizes, up to 8’x8’
- Create high quality digital images to be utilized on video screens, websites and social media
- Consult with UREC team members regarding all aspects of projects including design expectations and turnaround time
- Collaborate with Social Media Program Assistant to develop social media content for various marketing campaigns
- Check Microsoft Teams regularly to keep up to date with project assignments
- Work well independently and manage own project list to complete projects by assigned due dates.
- Be able to manage time and workload, understanding that some weeks of the semester may have many more project deadlines than others.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all available UREC programs and services
- Maintain thorough understanding of UWM Brand Standards
- Attend weekly promo team meetings to stay up to date on current UREC happenings and marketing initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Must be at least a part time student or graduate student at UWM.
- Flexible hours with a minimum of 6 hours a week of office hours, with the ability to add more during busy periods
- Experience with Adobe Creative suite - primarily In Design and Photoshop
- Experience with Office 365, specifically Microsoft Teams
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with the UREC Team
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Creative mindset to input own ideas into project requests
- Knowledge of size requirements for graphics to be posted on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
