Full Time Commercial IT Roles at Shell


  • Provide agile, business-focused, and seamless delivery to our customers and supply creative, fit-for-purpose solutions to proactively meet Shell’s business needs. 

  • Coordinate the development of service roadmaps with architects, business IT, and suppliers.

  • Work with IRM, ITSO, Enterprise Services, and architecture to understand their business positions and implement portfolio decisions.

  • Define, document and safely execute infrastructure projects to agreed timescale and budget.

  • Prepare and maintain project quality and risk plans, track progress against the plans, and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.

  • Estimate project costs, timescales and resource requirements in relation to agreed terms of reference and take action where these deviate from plan.

  • Make recommendations for development of new services and improvement of existing services.

  • Work with the procurement and ongoing operation of technical computing applications and infrastructure to support various aspects of the oil & gas business (High Performance Computing, High-end Technical Workstations, NAS and scale-out NAS storage, 3D Visualization and Remote Collaboration).

    • To be eligible for an Internship, you should be an actively enrolled student who will complete at least one more semester of education following your internship.
    • To be eligible for Graduate full-time opportunities, you should be in your final year of study or have less than three years of work experience.
    • You must have a minimum Cumulative GPA (CGPA) of 3.20.
    • Candidates for regular U.S. positions must be a U.S. citizen or national, an alien admitted as permanent resident, refugee, asylee, temporary resident, or an individual who possesses valid work authorization.  Individuals with temporary visas (H-1, H-2, J-1, F-1, etc.) or who require sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future are not eligible for hire.
    • In some instances, we are able to sponsor Ph.D. candidates in the following disciplines: Chemical Engineering, Physics, Petroleum Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geosciences and Research & Development.
    • In some cases, we are able to sponsor Master’s level candidates in Geoscience ONLY.

    • Interviews will be planned and scheduled in advance. Candidates must successfully complete online application and assessments in order to be considered for an interview.
    • Candidate will be reviewed/notified/scheduled for an interview through Shell's scheduling system (and not through the university’s Career Center).
    • All candidates must apply and successfully complete all stages of the online assessments at www.shell.us/students before complete before Shell is able to consider them for an interview on campus.
