*Undergraduate students must be enrolled in the Spring 2021 semester to be eligible.

The Office

The Center for Community Engagement serves as The University of Texas at Austin’s central resource for those interested in volunteerism and service-learning throughout the UT and Austin communities. Our continued goal is to connect the resources of the university to the community to meet community priorities. We provide resources for anyone interested in getting more involved in the community, and our programs and services are designed for instructors, students, student organizations, campus departments, community partners, and local agencies.

The Position

This position will support all aspects of our direct service programs, but will primarily focus on our online platform, GivePulse. GivePulse is a system available to the entire campus community, allowing users to register for volunteer opportunities, to track service hours, to track hours for their organizations, and to be part of service-learning courses. Depending on experience and interest, main project will be to serve as the primary contact and support for local agencies seeking volunteers through UT, work on data collection and reports looking at usage of the platform, support outreach and training efforts across campus through digital resources and in-person/virtual training sessions. All CCE interns serve on a committee, typically planning events like our annual volunteer fair, Tower Awards, or any of our days of service.
