Residence Life Internship - Mooov-In (University Housing & Dining)

The Division of Student Affairs Internship Program 
 
The Division of Student Affairs Internship Program allows students to spend a summer handling a special project for the university designed to prepare them for life after graduation. Interns will work 19 hours per week for 10-weeks. These part-time internship positions offer a competitive compensation package that includes an hourly wage. Due to COVID-19, we are currently planning for each of our internships to take place virtually. Housing assistance may be provided on a case by case basis after internship positions are offered. Undergraduate students are eligible to apply. The internship runs from May 31, 2021 to August 6, 2021. The application is due February 14, 2021.

The Office

The Office of Residence Life, housing in University Housing and Dining, believes living on campus is about more than sharing a room. It's about building community. These campus residence halls support learning and growth outside the classroom with individual support, special programs and unique learning environments.

The Project

The Mooov-In intern will work closely with the Chair and Assistant Director overseeing the Mooov-In operation. They will inform and provide insight into strategies to create a more engaging and efficient move-in process for new residential students. Interns will have the unique opportunity to serve as team members on special projects during the summer.

Things You’ll Do

  • Inform and provide insight into strategies to create a more engaging and efficient move-in process for new residential students
  • Serve as team members on special projects during the summer
  • Participate in all required Division of Student Affairs Internship Program cohort activities and assessments

Who You Are (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Undergraduate student classification 
  • Skilled in design and marketing 
  • Skilled in understanding and managing spreadsheets and data 
  • Prior student leadership and/or employment experience highly preferred
