*Undergraduate students must be enrolled in the Spring 2021 semester to be eligible.

The Office

The mission of the Gender and Sexuality Center (GSC) is to provide opportunities for all members of the UT Austin community to explore, organize, and promote learning around issues of gender and sexuality. The center also facilitates a greater responsiveness to the needs of women and the LGBTQIA+ communities through education, outreach, and advocacy.

The Position

The GSC is looking for summer interns, and one of them could be you! Our summer interns primarily work with our summer orientation sessions, which includes tabling, talking with students, assisting with the orientation sessions themselves, and other special projects. Our interns also work on book and movie reviews, research about possible speakers to come to campus, help with our social media and with the GSC's Ana Sisnett Library. Students are encouraged to take and share leadership roles, recognize hidden talents, think critically, challenge assumptions, develop their individual identities and goals, initiate new activities, and define their own experiences.
