DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Under general direction, as a non-administrative Illinois licensed physician, provides a full range of psychiatric/medical assessments and treatments to patients at Chester Mental Health Center on an assigned unit on an assigned shift. Prescribes and reviews medical and psychiatric treatment modalities; conducts physical examinations, makes rounds, checks reports and charts; participates in admissions, transfer and discharges. Performs and records psychiatric evaluations and maintains files or progress notes. Provides support and expertise to staff in dealing with patients. Serves as an active and contributing member or chair of assigned center committees. 
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Requires an Illinois license to practice medicine and an American Board Certification in the job related medical specialty of psychiatry. Requires ability to provide a range of specialized medical diagnostic evaluations, specialized medical therapies, and/or consultative and advisory medical services in psychiatry. Requires thorough knowledge of the field of psychiatry.

Salary Range:
$14,817.00 - $20,550.00 monthly / $177,804.00 - $246,600.00 yearly
