The Online Program Assistant provides critical day-to-day operational support for Counseling@Northwestern, the online Counseling Program. The position requires a collaborative and supportive relationship with faculty, and the ability to work with a cross-functional team of professionals. This position relates to operational and administrative support for the clinical training functions of the unit and specifically in maintaining records for well a large cohort of students and hundreds of sites nationally at which students train. The position also provides support for other administrative duties such as providing support for licensure processes of alumni or other tasks related to the online unit’s day-to-day operations. The candidate should be proficient in digital record-keeping and light data management procedures. 

  • Provide operational and administrative support to the Clinical Training functions of the online program 
  • Provides support for licensure functions of the department, including processing records requirements for program alumni 
  • Works closely with the Assistant Program Director, Director of Online Program Operations and Clinical Placement teams in managing clinical training data
  • Coordinate clinical training event and communication logistics extracurricular and co-curricular activities, and other events
  • Perform routine administration such as data collection and archiving for all clinical training procedures and events 
  • Liaise with on-campus program personnel as directed by program leaders
  • Maintains clinical training records specifically as it relates to licensure support for program alumni
  • Perform other duties as assigned related to general operational support of the department

  • 3-5 years of staff-level experience in a college or university or educational setting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and presentation software
  • Comfort with online webinar technology using audio, video and shared desktop applications (i.e. Adobe Connect, WebEx, GoToMeeting, Skype)
