Sales & Marketing Internship

Perrigo started more than 130 years ago in rural Michigan and today it is one of the largest over-the-counter (OTC) self-care companies selling products globally. Our team is focused on North America and we are driven by our mission to bring Quality, Affordable Self-Care Products to our consumers and retail partners. We’re looking for individuals who display strong teamwork, analytical skills, and a solution-oriented mindset to join our sales and marketing teams as we expand into new and exciting categories. 
During the 12-week Sales and Marketing Internship, you will work to drive 2021 initiatives that create customer value and contribute to sales goals within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry. Throughout the program, you will have a dedicated category team and challenging projects that help you develop technical, management and leadership skills outside of the classroom. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Complete one or more strategic projects assigned at the beginning of the internship that will be presented to the local leadership team
• Analyze market research and industry data to validate trends, consumer preference, and competitive advantage
• Propose new product innovation and category strategies based on consumer insights and sales data
• Support customer and consumer marketing, outreach, and planning
• Recommend promotional strategies that could enhance sales 
• Work cross-functionally to learn about sales support, supply chain, innovation, manufacturing, finance, design, eCommerce, consumer insights and more
• Collaborate with key team members to learn methods, procedures, and standards required for performance and department duties
• Set performance goals, learning objectives, and project deadlines with supervisor and mentor
• Attend company-sponsored training focused on marketing, sales, and personal development
• Learn Perrigo company culture, policies and practices that affect each phase of business
• Business or Marketing Major required; junior or senior status preferred 
• Previous experience in a Sales/Marketing environment preferred
• Excellent communications, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and interact professionally with all levels of leadership
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Job Location: Allegan, Michigan; Full-time, 40 hours per week; 12 weeks, typically starting the 1st Monday of June, ending the 3rd Friday of August. Hourly pay rate at $20/hour.
